Discover Saidi with Jasirah!

This workshop contains detailed presentation packed with easy-to-follow information, supported by photo and video materials, making it an engaging experience for all.

What can you expect?

• After this lecture you will understand the origin and history of saidi dance and find differences between contemporary saidi and traditional tahtib.
• Learn what instruments and rhythms characterize saidi music, to be able to differentiate it from baladi or dabke and interpret it correctly for your future performances.
• In the second part of this workshop we will practice a few very specific movements and combinations (with and without assaya) to recognize Upper Egyptian manner of dance.
• The end of the class will be dedicated to questions to make sure you are leaving this class without any doubts.

Workshop will be recorded and you will have 7 days access to rewatch the content, although I encourage you to join live so I can correct your technique and reply your questions.

After the workshop all students will receive a personal certificate of participation.
If you want to receive certificate on your stage name instead of name and surname please provide it in the customer notes during the registration.
