In this workshop, Jasirah will explain different fanveil grip techniques, basic movements, and how to transition between them with a beautiful, smooth flow. During the warmup, you will be provided with exercises to enhance your range of motion, improve joint mobility, strengthen, and stretch. We will focus heavily on how to use the entire body – with a strong emphasis on the torso and legs – so you are genuinely dancing rather than just waving your arms. You will also learn more advanced fanveil spins, tricks for maximum effect with specific movements, and tips for creating an engaging show with proper energy distribution.

This workshop starts from scratch, making it perfect for everyone – from beginners who never danced with fan veils before, to professional dancers who want to systematize their knowledge, expand their repertoire, and learn effective methods and exercises to teach their own students.
